Give Soka a Break

I was hurt when I read your article about the Japanese class given by Soka University. I’m enrolled in the class and it’s really great. The teacher is excellent and all of the students seem to be very excited.

I was honored that the California Secretary of State attended and I got a chance to meet her. She’s very sincere. Why didn’t you report the other guest’s comments that Soka is helping the Latino community? This is also a good thing. Not too many other groups in Calabasas are opening their doors to inner-city kids.

It is important for Americans and Japanese to learn about each other so we can both stop this stupid bashing.
