Aid Package to Former Soviet Republics
I read with amazement that once again President Bush is giving money to Russia in the form of a $645-million aid package (front page, Jan. 23). If they’re hungry and need dollars, why don’t we give them dollars for plutonium? They get $20,000 cash for every warhead they give us. With $645 million, that would be over 32,000 war heads salvaged from potential terrorist use.
Bush is neither creative nor intelligent when he gives away American money.
