GRIM DAYS AT GRANT HIGH
As an administrator with the Cucamonga School District, I was appalled by “Grim Days at Grant High.” I find it difficult to comprehend that within the endless hours of Sandy Banks’ reporting she couldn’t dig up a single sentence on the positives at Grant High School. Thank you for reinforcing the public’s perception that education is in a dismal state.
As for the principal of Grant High School, Robert Collins, he should enroll in Public Relations 101. Granted financial cutbacks have strapped site administrators. Nevertheless, there is absolutely no excuse for the graffiti on Grant’s walls. Get it off! And those teachers who complain of class sizes of 35 students and up, wake up! It’s no different at other “successful” schools.
