Range Rover to Change Name to Land Rover: Range Rover of North America plans to change its name to Land Rover North America, hoping to benefit from the tough image of its British-built, four-wheel-drive utility vehicle. The company plans to reintroduce the Land Rover into the United States market later this year. Popular in tough terrains from deserts to jungles, the Land Rover has not been sold here since 1974. The firm will continue selling its slicker cousin, the Range Rover, in the United States.
