Toyota to Export U.S.-Made Vehicles: The Japanese car maker said it will export 45,000 U.S.-built cars in 1992, up from 24,000 in 1991. About 40% of the exports will be Camry station wagons, a new model introduced at the Chicago Auto Show. The seven-passenger vehicles are built in Toyota Motor Corp.’s Kentucky plant. The remainder will be Camry sedans, also built in Kentucky, and Corolla sedans built by the Toyota/General Motors Corp. joint venture in Fremont, Calif. Toyota also expects to begin shipping about 100,000 Kentucky-built engines annually to Japan beginning later this year.
