Cheese? Swiss Make Good Bread Too
American workers unhappy with their pay may want to try Switzerland.
A 48-city global study commissioned by Union Bank of Switzerland shows that hourly wages in Zurich are the highest in the world, averaging $16. By contrast, workers in Lagos, Nigeria, are paid as low as 40 cents per hour.
In the States, New Yorkers fare the best, earning $10.50, followed closely by Los Angeles workers with $10.40. Houston employees earned the lowest wage, $6.50.
