COUNTYWIDE : County to Consider Anti-Drug Program
The Ventura County Board of Supervisors will consider today expanding two high school anti-drug programs into middle schools.
The programs, called Friday Night Live and Club Live, are aimed at establishing alcohol- and drug-free activities for students, including seminars, sports and camp-outs.
Until this year, the program was restricted to high school campuses and had a $14,000 budget. The county has received a $15,000 grant from the state to extend the program to middle schools.
The high school program runs from Feb. 1 to June 30.
