Developers who build in Moorpark will have to pay more toward constructing new schools, school officials decided Tuesday.
The board of the Moorpark Unified School District voted to increase developers’ fees for residential construction from $1.58 to $1.65 per square foot. The board also raised fees for commercial and industrial development from 26 cents to 27 cents per square foot.
With the fee increase, the Moorpark district will receive $3,330 for every 2,000-square-foot single-family house built in the city, an increase of $140.
