COLLEGE BASKETBALL / PACIFIC 10 CONFERENCE : Arizona Routs Washington St.
Chris Mills’ 25 points led an attack that had five double-figure scorers as No. 7 Arizona beat Washington State, 94-72, in a Pacific 10 Conference game Thursday night at Tucson.
It was the 14th victory in a row for Arizona (18-3, 8-2) over Washington State (16-7, 4-6).
With Arizona ahead, 75-50, with 8:08 remaining, Wildcat Coach Lute Olson pulled three of his starters, and Washington State promptly made a 13-0 run.
Olson went back to his starting lineup with 5:49 remaining, and Mills hit a jumper and three-point shot to spark a 13-2 run. The Wildcats led by at least 20 points the rest of the way.
Neil Derrick led Washington State with 17 points.
Arizona St. 55, Washington 47--The Sun Devils held the Huskies without a field goal in the final 4 1/2 minutes to key a decisive 13-3 run at Tempe.
Arizona State is 13-9 and 4-6; Washington 10-11 and 3-7.
