Orlando Became Magic’s Kingdom
Watching Magic Johnson and Isiah Thomas going one-on-one at the end of the All-Star game was one of life’s perfect moments. They were every pair of best friends who ever played ball in every playground, every back yard, the last shot going down when someone’s mother calls them in for dinner.
There will be people who will tell Magic not to play again, that he could never top this moment. Before Sunday, I might have been one of them. But the end of the play for most of us may just be the end of the first act for him. I say keep going, baby, just as long as you want to.
