View of Hidden Hills Is Outdated

Share

Regarding Paul Ciotti’s “Forbidden City” about Hidden Hills (Valley Edition, Feb. 9), why are all the quoted “folksy types” seemingly aging females without families other than their beloved cats . . . er, horses?

I loved Claudette Rice’s quotes about having worked at Round Meadow School, where it was traumatic for the kids from the “tumbledown houses along the freeway” to be confronted with the “designer” kids from Hidden Hills.

Is horsewoman Rice aware that, out of 702 children attending Round Meadow today, only 134 are from Hidden Hills?

Either I live in one of those “tumbledown” houses, or Rice worked at Round Meadow in about 1951. Get with it, Mr. Ciotti. Write an article with quotes from in-touch people of Hidden Hills, not folks living 40 years in the past.
