A SURPRISE YES: The senior citizens of the Morningside complex in Fullerton who wanted Carl Karcher to change the name of his new Carl’s Jr. nearby to Carl’s Sr. were pleased when the hamburger mogul accepted their petition in person. Now they’re even more delighted: He changed it--for a month or two. Trademark requirements won’t permit a permanent change, but they’re pleased. . . . “It was quite a surprise,” says one resident.
