Redevelopment Panel to Be Elected
Residents, businesses and community organizations will elect representatives tonight to a 15-member advisory committee for a redevelopment zone in a largely industrial area along San Fernando Road.
The volunteer committee is expected to recommend ways to revitalize properties in the 700-acre proposed zone, to be formed late this year by the City Council and Redevelopment Agency.
The meeting to form the committee is to be held at 7 p.m. at the city’s Environmental Management Center, 780 Flower St. For further information, contact Ruth Martinez at the redevelopment office, (818) 548-2005.
