It’s a Hit: Broadway is crazy over a new musical comedy called “Crazy for You.” The Associated Press drama critic said the show, with 18 songs by George and Ira Gershwin and book by Ken Ludwig (“Lend Me a Tenor”), raised the roof of the Shubert Theatre Wednesday night. The New York Times noted the show “heralds a second coming” for starved musical theater audiences. The Daily News called it an explosion of joy and the New York Post said the brass and the gold of Broadway are back.
