Cardinal Krol Hospitalized

PHILADELPHIA —
Cardinal John Krol was in critical condition with stable vital signs Thursday after being admitted to a hospital a day earlier complaining of an irregular heartbeat. A spokeswoman at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital said Krol, 81, had a cardiac problem but that doctors had stabilized his heart.
