Trio-Tech International, a San Fernando maker of semiconductor testing machines, said it lost $249,000 in the fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 27, compared to a $254,000 loss a year earlier. Revenues rose 6% to $3.7 million from $3.5 million.
For the six months ended Dec. 27, Trio-Tech narrowed its loss to $245,000 from a $335,000 loss a year earlier. Revenues for the six-month period grew 6% to $7.7 million from $7.24 million in 1990.
The company blamed the losses on the sour economy, but it said it expects to break even for the six months ending in June.
Trio-Tech also said it is working with its bank to satisfy loan repayments and get an extension of its revolving credit facility.
