Retrospective of Alain Tanner Films Through March 8 at Melnitz Theater
“The Films of Alain Tanner,” a retrospective of 12 films between 1969 and 1989 paying tribute to the eminent Swiss director, will be presented through March 8 in UCLA’s Melnitz Theater.
All screenings will begin at 7:30 p.m.
One of Switzerland’s best-known directors, Tanner belonged to Britain’s Free Cinema movement, which included Lindsay Anderson, Karel Reisz and the late Tony Richardson before returning to his native country to work. Information: (310) 206-FILM, 206-8013.
