WOMEN’S BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Williams Leads Bruins in Victory

Natalie Williams scored 26 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead UCLA to a 76-68 victory over Washington State on Thursday night in a Pacific 10 Conference women’s game at Pullman, Wash.
UCLA was behind, 38-36, at halftime, but took charge for good with 7:54 to play when Williams’ layup gave the Bruins a 61-59 lead.
UCLA (15-8) got 18 points from Rehema Stephens. Washington State is 11-12.
New Mexico State 100, Cal State Long Beach 83--Tracey Goetsch scored 36 points as the Lobos beat the 49ers in a Big West Conference game at Las Cruces, N.M.
The loss was the fourth in six games for Long Beach (16-8, 10-5), which was led by Danielle Scott’s 26 points.
USC 62, Washington 58--Tammy Story had 18 points, including two free throws with 15 seconds left, to clinch the Trojans’ victory over the Huskies at Seattle.
