OXNARD : 75 Youths to Go Whale-Watching
Seventy-five youths from Oxnard’s predominantly Latino, working class La Colonia neighborhood will go on a whale watching expedition today sponsored by the La Colonia Neighborhood Council.
“The trip will expose our kids to a different part of Oxnard, while at the same time providing environmental education and a chance to see the winter migration of the California gray whale,” said council chair Carlos Aguilera.
The trip has been donated by Rick Grant, manager of Cisco’s Sportfishing of Oxnard’s Harbor.
