Jose Francisco Puello Herrera, a Dominican neurosurgeon and president of the Central American and Caribbean Sports Organization, said Magic Johnson should not be allowed to play in the Olympics.

Puello Herrera, head of the Dominican Republic’s Olympic Committee, told a conference on AIDS and sports in San Juan, Puerto Rico, that “Johnson should not participate for the welfare of the sport and the athletes.”
