Litton Unit Awarded Additional $23.9 Million

Litton Industries Inc.’s Data Systems unit in Agoura Hills said it was awarded an additional $23.9 million by the U. S. Air Force to continue work on upgrading a computerized control system for aircraft missions.

Litton said its total work on the contract, first awarded in 1988, stands at $118.6 million.

The system controls how U. S. aircraft are deployed in various scenarios, such as intercepting enemy planes, traffic control, refueling and search-and-rescue missions.
