Howard Gould, the state’s top bank regulator in the late 1980s, has joined Sanwa Bank California as senior executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
Gould joins Sanwa after three years as head of the West Coast office of Secura Group, a Washington, D.C.-based consulting firm headed by former Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Chairman William Isaac. Prior to joining Secura, Gould was California’s banking superintendent.
Sanwa Bank California is the state’s seventh-largest bank and is a Los Angeles-based subsidiary of Japan’s Sanwa Bank Ltd., the world’s fourth-largest bank.
