Lions Club Awards $95,000 in Grants
The Newport Harbor Lions Club has distributed grants totaling $95,000 raised at last year’s fish fry.
The donations were given to several community organizations, including the Someone Cares Soup Kitchen, Orange Coast Interfaith Shelter, Sea Scouts, Planned Parenthood and the Costa Mesa Police Department’s Bicycle Safety and Explorer Scout programs, said first vice president George Lorton.
