Kent’s No Rambo: NBC’s Arthur Kent, whose coverage of the Gulf War last year made him acelebrity and earned him the nickname “Scud Stud,” wasn’t pleased when a British Broadcasting Corp. program gave the impression that he saw himself as a heroic “Rambo” figure. He filed a formal complaint with the Broadcasting Complaints Commission in London. On Tuesday, the commission said it agreed with him, acknowledging that a segment of “The Late Show” dealing with media issues arising from the war did indeed “leave an unfair impression . . . and unfairly diminished Kent’s reputation as a serious foreign correspondent.” Kent said the commission’s ruling justified his complaint.
