Nissan to Increase U.S. Suppliers: Nissan Motor Co. said it will buy auto parts from about 320 U.S. suppliers this year, double the number of 1991. The aim is to raise the local content of U.S.-made Nissans, Japan’s second-largest auto maker said. For U.S. production of the Stanza, which will start this summer, Nissan said it will buy parts from 23 new American suppliers, including GM Delco, a General Motors Corp. affiliate. Nissan, which will produce 200,000 Stanzas a year, said it is aiming at 70% local content.
