Thousand Oaks : Water District Hires General Manager
A new general manager has been hired to head the largest water agency in Ventura County, an official said Friday.
The Calleguas Municipal Water District hired Donald R. Kendall of Oak Park after reviewing 24 candidates, district spokesman Eric Bergh said.
Kendall, a program manager with the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, will take over the post in April. He replaces James A. Hubert, who is scheduled to retire May 1 after seven years as Calleguas’ general manager. Hubert also served on Calleguas board of directors from 1969 to 1985.
As Calleguas’ new manager, Kendall will oversee a staff of 40 employees and a $33.4-million operating budget.
Calleguas provides water to 500,000 residents of Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Oxnard and Camarillo.
