Golf Fans Find More to Love in Couples

Share

I keep reading Jim Murray’s article on Sam Snead (Feb. 27), in which he refers to the golfer as “one of the most natural athletes I’ve ever seen.”

I would like to ask what is so athletic about anyone who hits a little ball with a stick, something I’ve been doing for more than 60 years? Golf is a game for old men, and old ladies such as me, but I don’t think it’s any more athletic than playing Ping-Pong.

Would Jim Murray like to come and do a story about my foursome, all of us in our late 60s and as unathletic as can be?
