REDEFINING FEMINISM

Share

As one of the many executives who has lost a job in the current economy, I see the need to direct the women’s movement into a more productive arena. The Equal Opportunity Employer designations appearing in employment ads today are still token words for many companies. I have applied for more than 100 jobs since 1991; 74 of those positions were filled by men. So although I share the same financial burdens of the unemployed male executive, I am not viewed by the business world as having equal rights to a position for which I am more than qualified.
