Guinea-Bissau Plans 1st Multi-Party Elections

BISSAU, Guinea —
Bissau--The Guinea-Bissau government Sunday announced the dates for the West African nation’s first multi-party elections since independence in 1974.
The statement, read on state television, said presidential elections will be held Nov. 15 and legislative elections Dec. 13.
