Continental Airlines Adding Flights: The Houston-based carrier said it will add 71 new flights this summer, and that most of the 5% increase in service would be permanent, not just during the busy summer travel season. New destinations from its Houston hub include Sacramento and San Jose as well as several cities in Mexico and Quito, Ecuador. Continental, which has been in bankruptcy proceedings for 15 months, also said its emergence from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection may be delayed until the end of the summer.
