A plan by a coalition to work for transportation improvements in three cities along the Ventura Freeway corridor has been approved by the Burbank City Council.
Under the plan voted on Tuesday, the Tri-City Transportation Coalition of Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena said it would work with the Los Angeles County Transportation Commission on issues such as the Pasadena Light Rail Line, the Burbank-Glendale Light Rail Line and the east-west light rail line as funded projects in the commission’s 30-Year Plan, officials said.
Coalition members said they also plan to work with Caltrans to achieve priority status on regional freeway improvements, and to stimulate new transportation technologies by working with government and private institutions.
