RISING STARS

It’s hard to know who will make it. Sometimes it’s the extrovert (“He was always such a ham”) and sometimes it’s the introvert (“She was so shy, she was afraid to speak to anyone”).

Family and friends recommend the most verbal and outgoing kids, but directors often say it’s the ones with less dominant personalities who can best slip into another persona.

One thing all the young stars do have in common is determination--and support from adults. Parents and other mentors help bring them along. Whether they end up in the spotlight for the summer or for a lifetime, these young actors and actresses are forever changed by the experience.
