LOS ANGELES : Hot Line Set Up for Public to Report Criminal Activity
A federal agency has announced the establishment of a toll-free number for people who want to turn in gang members and career criminals who carry illegal weapons.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is providing the 24-hour hot line to give the public an avenue for reporting firearms violations, said John E. D’Angelo, an ATF special agent. The hot line number is (800) ATF-GUNS.
