‘92 Election

Share

The presidential election will once again be an anti-vote, the least disliked man will win. Again personal charm will win out over ability. Bill Clinton looks and talks like a President, Paul Tsongas does not. Clinton will lose only if he beats himself with further mini-scandals. George Bush would probably have trouble beating Pee-wee Herman. Bush made two major mistakes, “read my lips’ regarding a tax increase and Desert Storm was a year too soon. Bush’s only faint hope is to go after Saddam soon. Well, maybe we could add a third error, Dan Quayle.

Bachelor Jerry Brown would deprive us of a First Lady and after the grand Barbara Bush this would hurt. Jerry is a mystery candidate; what makes Jerry run? I omit Pat Buchanan because he is campaigning for 1996 and prays for the Bush-Quayle ticket to prevail over the Democratic hopeful. Pat could handle Quayle in 1996.
