DANA POINT : Merchants Endorse City, State Candidates
The 80-member Dana Point Merchants and Professionals Assn. this week endorsed William Ossenmacher and Ernie Nelson for City Council and Dana Point Mayor Mike Eggers for the 73rd Assembly District.
Ossenmacher, a local businessman and city planning commissioner, and Nelson, an engineer and outspoken critic of the current City Council, are two of six candidates seeking two open council seats in the June 2 election.
Eggers is one of eight candidates seeking the Republican nomination in the June 2 primary for the newly created 73rd Assembly seat.
Besides sitting on the current Dana Point council, Eggers is an aide to Rep. Ron Packard (R-Oceanside).
