WOODLAND HILLS : Business Group Honors Texaco

The Valley Industry and Commerce Assn. on Wednesday presented its annual Robert E. Gibson award for business excellence to Texaco Refining & Marketing Inc.

The company was recognized during a dinner at the Warner Center Marriott. Texaco was honored for its support of charitable organizations as well as for its educational and environmental programs, said Gloria Malkin, assistant to the president of the coalition of San Fernando Valley business leaders.

James Dunlap, president of Texaco USA, was keynote speaker. The Robert E. Gibson award has been presented since 1978.
