LA PALMA : 4% Pay Raise OKd for City Manager
The City Council granted City Manager Pamela Gibson a 4% pay increase Tuesday, raising her yearly base salary to $69,690. The increase is retroactive to January.
Although the raise was larger than the 2.5% awarded most employees, police sergeants received a 4.5% raise earlier this year. Under Gibson’s 18-month employment contract, she will continue to receive the same benefits package given to senior managers, including a car, for which the city pays all expenses.
The contract calls for a second pay increase for Gibson on July 1 equal to the percentage given at that time to the highest-paid management employee in the city.
