Check it Out: KTLA Channel 5 will offer expanded traffic reports on its “Morning News” starting Monday. “Shadow Traffic” reporter Jennifer York will give four airborne reports per hour from a helicopter hovering over Southland freeways. . . . And coming along April 8 on Channel 5 will be a 2 1/2-hour special commemorating the station’s 45th anniversary. “KTLA at 45: A Salute to Los Angeles Television” will find Steve Allen, Tom Snyder, Stan Chambers, Hal Fishman and Stephanie Edwards taking a nostalgic look at the years since the station’s initial broadcast on Jan. 22, 1947.
