Young Indy’s Adventures: Indiana Jones will face his biggest cliffhanger yet on April 8, when ABC apparently plans to pull “The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles” off the air after six episodes to decide whether to renew it for next season. Because of the complexities involved in shooting around the world, producer George Lucas told ABC he needs to know the fate of his adventure series by mid-April to have new episodes ready for fall. If ABC picks up “Young Indiana,” which has already filmed 17 episodes, the remaining 11 episodes would most likely be held back for the new season. If ABC does not renew the show, the leftover episodes would probably air this summer. The series got big ratings for its March 4 premiere, then fell to moderate-but-respectable levels.
