I was disappointed to find that you included comments by the Rev. Lou Sheldon (of the Traditional Values Coalition) in your article about AB 3825. Simply because he has an irrational hatred of gay men and lesbians doesn’t make him an authority on legislation or an expert on issues involving gay people. If you insist on “balancing” your articles with differing points of view, I’m sure you can find many people who oppose it for financial or other reasons. But giving Sheldon a voice in your newspaper only serves to legitimize his homophobia.
