Taxi Owner Is Sore Loser
About the proposal to bring a second cab company into the Valley, all I can say is: What took so long?
The idea that any company should be granted a monopoly on service by the city is the antithesis of what made this country great. And if the owner of Valley Cab, Lloyd Conway, cannot survive the competition, then he has no basis to stay in business. Indeed, the competition should not be limited to only two companies, but rather to as many companies as the market will bear.
Then, and only then, will the customer decide who runs the most efficient cab company.
