Norwalk : ‘Buy American’ to Help End Recession, Council Urges
- Share via
The City Council has approved a resolution urging Norwalk residents to buy American products to bolster the economy.
“It’s a very important issue,” Councilwoman Grace F. Napolitano said. “I wish there were more impetus to get people to support buying American. Almost everything we use is made somewhere else. We passed the resolution to try to awaken the local American people and to do their part to help the economy.”
The resolution encourages Norwalk residents to buy U.S.-manufactured goods to save jobs and bring an end to the recession. The council cited the United States’ trade imbalance as a contributor to unemployment.
