When Myron (Mike) Haag, 54, politely asked two men to move their party away from his front yard Saturday night, they responded with crude language and violence. They beat him, smashed the back of his skull and left the airline pilot and former Marine brain-dead, authorities said.

After praying all night for a miracle, Haag’s wife, Pat, and other relatives decided to remove him from life-support systems Sunday and donate his organs.

Pat Haag, 51, said the attack on her husband took place just outside the home where they had raised their three children and lived for the past 20 years.

The Haags’ home is near a popular outdoor area nicknamed “the Tee Pee,” where locals frequently park their cars and drink alcohol. More than once, relatives said, Haag, a former Marine, has asked the revelers to quiet down.

Detectives are investigating Haag’s death, but said they have no suspects.
