Armed Man Robs Dry-Cleaning Shop
A balding, middle-aged man wearing a suit held up a dry cleaners Monday afternoon, escaping on foot with a bag of money.
The bespectacled man reportedly walked into Sax Quality Cleaners shortly before 3:30 p.m. and pulled back his camel-colored sport coat to show owner Parigul Karmand a handgun tucked in his waistband, said Police Lt. Patrick Gildea.
He handed Karmand, alone in the shop, a brown paper bag and demanded that she open the cash register. She complied, and he grabbed $625 from the till, she said.
The suspect is described as about 45 years old, 5-foot-7 with a medium build.
