Two Garden Grove Unified School District campuses have been named “distinguished schools” in a state program that recognizes schools with outstanding student performance, attendance and college acceptance rates.

Both La Quinta High School and Jordan Intermediate School have been named in the 1991-92 California Distinguished Schools Program that is run by the state Department of Education, district spokesman Alan Trudell said Tuesday. The schools will be among 104 honored in an awards ceremony in San Francisco on April 22.
