LOS ANGELES COUNTY : Supervisors Tentatively OK New Site for Hospital
Los Angeles County Supervisors on Tuesday tentatively approved a site in the City of Industry for the East Valley Medical Center, choosing not to build the 350-bed hospital near neighborhoods where there was strong community opposition.
The board ordered an environmental impact report on the site at the corner of Hacienda and Valley boulevards. About 200 people packed the board chambers to oppose a proposed site east of the 605 Freeway at Rose Hills Road, also in the City of Industry.
