The sharing of salary information with agents and players by the NFL Players Assn. does not violate federal antitrust laws, a Minneapolis judge ruled. The league’s 28 teams filed suit last year claiming that the sharing of salary information unlawfully restrains commerce. But U.S. District Judge David Doty ruled that “existing restraints have virtually eliminated competition . . . for player services and also between players for positions.”
