Sentence for Idol: Singer Billy Idol was fined $2,700 Wednesday in Beverly Hills Municipal Court for hitting a woman last fall. He was also ordered to record public service announcements about alcohol and drugs, and to participate in therapy sessions and alcohol counseling. Idol, 36, pleaded no contest Jan. 21 to one count of misdemeanor battery. The charge stemmed from a woman’s claims that Idol struck her in the back seat of a car.
