Claremont : Artwork for Rail Station
A permanent artwork for the Claremont Depot Transit Center will be discussed at 10 a.m. Saturday in the council chambers at City Hall.
On June 10, an art committee will choose five artists as finalists for the project. Each will receive $500 to present a proposal at a town meeting June 18.
The committee then will recommend one of the finalists to the City Council.
About $60,000 has been budgeted for the project, including the selection process.
The artwork will be installed on the depot’s rail platform area, which will serve passengers on a new commuter rail line.
