Lawbreaker Is Embarrassment

Brice Traynor, an arrogant lawbreaker, refuses the judge’s attempts to mollify his penalty (“Open-and-Shut Contempt,” March 17). He insults the court and then whines because nobody carries his mattress up the stairs for him. He complains because he was kept standing; he complains because he was asked to fill out the booking and arrest papers.

He is the only one that forgets he “ignored a school crossing guard in Ventura” and thus showed contempt for the guard, for what the guard was trying to do and then astonishingly enough shows contempt for the very system that has protected him for his much-declared 83 years.

Mr. Traynor is a real embarrassment to all senior citizens and we certainly apologize to the court and the public for his immature antics. (How’s that for irony--at 83 years of age?) Surely he should have his driving license revoked.
